Mailyn Faulkner, Voice, Guitar, Ukulele, and Mandolin

Mailyn Faulkner is a vocalist and songwriter, and plays multiple stringed instruments, including guitar, ukulele, and mandolin. She teaches voice, performance, and audition skills, as well as nurturing confidence on- and off-stage. She teaches students of every age and ability level. She has taught at Evergreen School of Music since 2015, bringing 17 years of experience into the studio.

Mailyn creates an individualized program for every student, meeting them where they are and speaking into their listening. She motivates students by working with them to choose music they enjoy and with which they resonate.

The Evergreen resident holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Vocal Performance and Business Management from the University of Colorado at Denver. Her performance repertoire includes Pop, Jazz, Folk, and Inspirational genres. She is the lead vocalist in the band HerRisin’.

Mailyn is a featured artist at Genesee Pub & BBQ, El Rancho Restaurant, The Bread Lounge, and the Blackbird Cafe & Tavern. She has also performed at Dazzle, The Black Crown Lounge, and the Burnsley Hotel in Denver. She has been the music director for Centers for Spiritual Living in Boulder and Evergreen, and Unity on the Avenue in Denver.

Mailyn’s rich musical background includes singing backup vocals for Hazel Miller, Karen Drucker, and Barry Manilow. She has also performed at Carnegie Hall with Boulder’s Sound Circle and at the Lincoln Center in New York City with the Denver Women’s Chorus.
